You will notice that I have several Saabs in stock at any given time. I have been fortunate enough to have established a good relationship with a few local Saab dealers that sell me their trade ins. These cars are usually one or two owner Saabs that were bought new, serviced at the dealer, then traded back in there. Almost all have full dealer service histories. In addition to my regular physical and mechanical check (tires, brakes, suspension), my process for going through a pre-owned Saab is very rigorous and includes, but is not limited to:
- Check SID unit (display screen) for full functionality and replace if not working 100%
- Check front and rear emblems and replace if necessary
- Check fog lights for cracks or chips and replace if necessary
- Check all window rollers, memory seat and mirror functions, blower unit functions
- Check for turbo wear or excessive smoke
- Check oil pressure switch for leaks, o rings on transmission lines for leaks
- Check head gasket for internal or external leaks
- Check belt tensioners and pulleys for excessive wear and/or noise
- Perform breather system, throttle body, or oil pickup upgrades if applicable and/or needed
Please use great caution when purchasing a used Saab on the internet from a dealer who is not completely knowledgeable of the product. I have seen many Saabs bought from other local "specialists" and they overlook many of the aforementioned items. As with any high end European car, these cars can cost you lots of money if you buy the wrong one and don't know what to look for when buying one.
When you leave in your new pre-owned Saab from us, it will have the proper stainless steel screws holding your license plate to the plate brackets. Although these are small details, its the whole package that sets us apart.
Why buy a Saab?
Durability : As with any European brand, cost of ownership has the potential to be higher than a domestic or Japanese equivalent. However, when properly maintained, Saabs can last well over 300,000 miles with ease and with a solidity only had in a European vehicle. True cost of ownership is in fact less sometimes, factoring in the longevity of these vehicles.
Safety : Saabs are one of the safest cars on the road, period.
Fuel economy : Most all Saabs boast 4 cylinder turbo engines that are not only powerful, but exceptionally frugal on gas.
Amenities : Saabs are almost always loaded with all the luxuries such as power everything, leather, moonroof, heated seats, and some of the best automobile sound systems in the business.
